When Olivia was 3 years old, her family received help from the Center for Children & Families (CCFI) Divorce & Co-Parenting program. This program provides services to reduce childhood stress and strengthen parent-child relationships during high conflict divorce, separation, paternity and guardianship issues. Now, Olivia is a Junior at Norman High School and spends several hours per week volunteering at the same organization that once helped her family through a difficult time.
“It’s a beautiful thing to help these kids heal from trauma. Although we all have different stories, I can relate to the kids and volunteers here. I enjoy building relationships and using my own experience to identify with others. Volunteering at CCFI is the highlight of my week.”
